The spooky season is officially here. Epic Games has kicked off its annual Fortnitemares celebration, and they did not hold back on the guest list. For weeks, rumors whispered that Nevermore Academy’s most infamous student would make an appearance. Now, those rumors are reality. The official Netflix Wednesday Addams cosmetics pack is live in the Fortnite Item Shop.
The Ultimate Gothic Look
This crossover brings the sullen, black-clad protagonist straight to the battle royale island. The Wednesday outfit comes with two distinct styles, allowing players to choose their level of gothic flair. You can run around the island in her signature striped Nevermore Academy school uniform, complete with her iconic braided pigtails. If you prefer something a bit more elegant, you can switch to the dark, ruffled prom dress she wore during the show’s famous dance scene.
Epic Games went all out on the details. They perfectly captured her signature deadpan expression. No matter how chaotic the battle gets, Wednesday remains completely unimpressed.
Spooky Accessories and That Famous Dance
Of course, Wednesday did not come alone. No adaptation of her character would be complete without her loyal sidekick. Thing, the animated severed hand, serves as the pack’s Back Bling. He sits directly on Wednesday’s shoulder, occasionally moving around to scan your surroundings. It is a delightfully creepy addition that fits the Fortnitemares atmosphere perfectly.
Then there is the emote. Yes, Epic actually did it. Players can now perform Wednesday’s iconic, jerky dance moves from the Netflix series. The emote plays a dark, instrumental tune that will likely echo through lobby screens and pre-game islands all month long. To round out the set, the pack includes a custom cello Pickaxe, allowing you to harvest materials with a bit of moody musical drama.
How Much Will It Cost?
Getting your hands on these cosmetics will require a trip to the V-Bucks vault. Players have a few options when purchasing the new gear:
- The Wednesday Addams Bundle: Includes the skin, the alternate dress style, Thing Back Bling, the cello pickaxe, and the dance emote for 2,300 V-Bucks.
- Wednesday Addams Outfit (Individual): Includes the skin, the alternate style, and the Thing Back Bling for 1,500 V-Bucks.
- The Cello Pickaxe: Available separately for 800 V-Bucks.
- The Dance Emote: Available separately for 500 V-Bucks.
A History of Spooky Collaborations
This is not the first time Epic Games has partnered with Netflix. In the past, players have seen Stranger Things cosmetics fly off the virtual shelves. But bringing Wednesday to the island right now is a particularly smart move. With anticipation building for the second season of the hit Netflix show, Wednesday remains incredibly popular.
Over the years, Fortnitemares has hosted some of the biggest names in horror and pop culture. We have seen Michael Myers stalking players through the woods, Jack Skellington gliding over the island, and Resident Evil heroes fighting off monsters. Wednesday Addams fits right into this pantheon of spooky legends. Her character design is instantly recognizable, even when rendered in Fortnite’s colorful, stylized aesthetic.
Early reactions from the gaming community have been overwhelmingly positive. Social media is already flooded with clips of players performing Wednesday’s dance in the middle of chaotic build battles. Some squads are even coordinating their outfits, pairing Wednesday with other dark skins for the ultimate gothic team-up.
The Wednesday Addams bundle is expected to remain in the shop for at least a couple of weeks. However, licensed skins have a habit of disappearing once the Halloween season wraps up. If you want to terrorize your lobbies with some serious resting-face energy, you might want to grab her before she retreats back into the shadows.
