Disney Villains Rumored for Massive Fortnitemares 2026 Crossover

Fortnite fans are no strangers to massive pop-culture crossovers. But a new batch of leaks suggests Epic Games is planning something truly wicked for 2026. According to prominent data miners, Disney’s most iconic antagonists are set to take over the island for the Fortnitemares 2026 event.

The partnership makes perfect sense. Disney poured $1.5 billion into Epic Games back in early 2024. Since then, we have seen a steady stream of Star Wars, Marvel, and classic Pixar skins. Now, it looks like Epic is playing the long game, setting up a massive Halloween event themed entirely around legendary Disney Villains.

The Stars of the Show: Maleficent and Hades

At the center of these leaks are two legendary figures: Maleficent and Hades. Both are expected to arrive with highly detailed, reactive skins. In Fortnite, “reactive” cosmetics are always a massive hit because they change form based on what happens during a match.

Maleficent, the Mistress of All Evil, will reportedly start the match in her classic dark robes. As players rack up eliminations, her green magic will flare up. Rumors suggest she might even sprout massive, shadow-like dragon wings or summon bright green flames during emotes. Her LEGO style is also expected to launch alongside the main battle royale skin, allowing players to use her across multiple game modes.

Then there is Hades. While Fortnite featured a Greek-mythology-themed Hades in Chapter 5, Season 2, this version is straight out of the 1997 animated classic Hercules. He is expected to start with his trademark calm, blue flaming hair. But when things get heated—or when players take damage—his hair will instantly flare into a fiery orange rage, mirroring his famous tantrums from the movie.

More Than Just Shop Skins

The crossover goes beyond just cosmetic items in the shop. Insiders claim Epic is designing actual gameplay mechanics to match the villainous takeover. We might see a dedicated Point of Interest (POI) spawn on the map. Imagine a dark, thorns-draped castle replacing a standard landing spot, or a glowing underworld portal.

There are also whispers of new Mythic weapons. Maleficent’s staff could allow players to summon lightning strikes or create barriers of thorns to block enemy fire. Meanwhile, Hades could offer a mythic item that grants players temporary underworld dashes or fiery explosive attacks.

Data miners also suggest other classic Disney villains could join the roster during the event. Names like Captain Hook, Ursula, and Jafar have floated around community forums for months. Including them in a single, massive Fortnitemares update would make it one of the largest themed drops Epic has ever attempted.

When Can Players Expect It?

While Epic Games has not officially confirmed these plans, the timing fits the developer’s usual schedule. Fortnitemares always kicks off in mid-October, bringing a spooky atmosphere, special challenges, and limited-time rewards. Securing a massive Disney Villains lineup would guarantee 2026 as one of the biggest Halloween events in the game’s history.

Of course, 2026 is still a long way off. Plans can change in game development. Sometimes concepts get delayed, reworked, or scrapped entirely due to licensing or production issues. But given the deep financial ties between Epic and Disney, a massive villainous collaboration seems less like a wild theory and more like an inevitability.

For now, players can only watch the horizon. If these leaks hold true, the battle bus is going to get a lot more sinister in a couple of years.
