Target and Epic Games Partner for Exclusive Fortnite Gift Cards

Physical gift cards are making a major comeback this holiday season. Epic Games has joined forces with retail giant Target for a special, limited-edition run of physical Fortnite gift cards. These are not your standard V-Bucks vouchers. Buyers will get access to exclusive, holiday-themed in-game cosmetics that cannot be purchased anywhere else.

A Seasonal Storefront Collab

The rollout starts in early November 2026, just as holiday shopping kicks into high gear. They will hit the shelves of over 1,900 Target locations across the United States. You will also find them online on Target’s official website. Epic Games is aiming directly at shoppers who want a quick, easy stocking stuffer. Standard digital codes work fine, but there is still something special about holding a physical card. Especially one with a shiny holographic finish.

This is not the first time Epic has dabbled in physical retail. Over the years, the publisher has partnered with various stores for exclusive bundles. However, this Target deal is one of their most targeted promotions yet. It focuses entirely on the festive spirit of the 2026 winter season.

What Is Inside the Bundle?

Now, let’s talk about the digital loot. Every card purchased at Target includes a code for the “Bullseye Blizzard” gear set. This exclusive bundle features:

  • A unique winter-themed character skin clad in festive red and white armor.
  • A custom pickaxe shaped like a candy cane with a Target-colored ribbon.
  • Matching back bling that looks like a miniature snow globe.

Epic Games confirmed that these items will not enter the regular Fortnite Item Shop rotation during the 2026 holiday season. If you want to run around the island wearing this gear, you have to buy the card. It makes the cosmetic highly collectible for dedicated players.

Why Physical Cards Still Matter

For years, tech analysts predicted the death of physical gift cards. Digital wallets and instant email deliveries seemed poised to take over completely. Yet, the physical gift card market remains incredibly resilient, especially during November and December. Parents and grandparents still prefer buying tangible items. It gives them something physical to wrap up and put under the tree. Kids love scratching off the back to reveal the hidden code. Epic Games understands this behavior perfectly.

“There is a psychology to physical gifting,” says retail trends expert Marcus Thorne. “A digital code sent via text message does not carry the same weight as a physical card. By tying highly sought-after digital goods to a physical product, Epic Games and Target are driving massive foot traffic to physical storefronts.”

How to Redeem Your Loot

Redeeming the codes is simple. Once purchased, customers flip the card to scratch off the security strip. They enter the PIN on the official Fortnite redemption page. From there, the V-Bucks and the “Bullseye Blizzard” cosmetics load directly into their Epic Games account. The cards will be available in several denominations: $10, $25, $50, and $100. The exclusive cosmetic bundle comes with all of them, regardless of the card’s value. That means even the cheapest card unlocks the rare holiday skin.

This approach makes the items highly accessible. You do not have to spend a fortune to get the exclusive look. But you do have to move quickly. Epic Games and Target both warned that stocks of these physical cards are limited. Once they sell out, they will not be restocked before the holiday season ends.

This partnership highlights a growing trend. Major game developers continue to collaborate with physical retailers to boost offline visibility. Target gets more shoppers in its gaming aisles. Epic Games gets a massive marketing push on store shelves. It is a straightforward strategy that keeps both digital gaming and physical retail highly relevant today.
